Executive BoardPresident Michael Azzarello - MBA, BS, LVT Michael is a licensed and certified veterinary technician that has been working in the Immediate Past President Maggie Monza, BS, CVT Maggie has a Bachelor of Science degree from Mercy College, Dobbs Ferry and is a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Maggie is a true advocate for the veterinary technician field. She created mentorships for high school seniors and externships for several Veterinary Technology Programs. Maggie is a member of AVTE (Association of Veterinary Technician Educators), NJVTA (NewJersey Veterinary Technician Association) on Education Committee, NAVTA (NationalAssociation of Veterinary Technicians of America), and is certified in Mental Health First Aid. Maggie is also co-chair of the NJVTC (North Jersey Veterinary Technician Conference)developed to help further the continuing education resources for veterinary technicians. She works at Oradell Animal Hospital in Paramus, NJ and is also an adjunct professor for the Veterinary Technology Program at Bergen Community College. Communications Secretary Nicole Humphreys, MBA, CVT Nicole is a 1999 graduate of SUNY Delhi and a 2004 graduate of St. Petersburg Veterinary Technologist Program as well as earned a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Florida in 2010. Currently, Nicole is the veterinary Clinical Education Coordinator for Bergen Community College as well as a full-time professor. Being certified for over 20 years, Nicole has worked in many different aspects of veterinary medicine such as emergency and critical care at Oradell Animal Hospital, internal medicine at Florida Veterinary Specialists (now Blue Pearl Tampa), Sales and Marketing for Midmark, Sales for Animal Health International and National Sales Manager and certified blood analyst for The Pet Blood Bank Intl. Nicole has been a lecturer at many veterinary conventions speaking on anesthesia, blood pressure monitoring, as well as blood banking and blood analyzing. Nicole has been a featured author in “Nursing the Feline Patient” published by Wiley & Sons (2012), and holds certifications for Fear Free, RECOVER, and Mental Health First Aid. Nicole also belongs to NAVTA, ATVE, AVHTM and also is an NJVTA educational board active member. Along with president Maggie Monza, Nicole co-chairs the VNI Grassroots Committee.
